Mike Murphy
Mike MurphyMike Murphy has been a voting member of the NAFB from May of 1985 - 89 then again starting in May of 1993. Mike has spent more than 30 years in radio, the last two decades plus of which have been spent at KSUM and KFMC in Fairmont. Mike grew up on a farm just one mile down the road from the radio station.

Martin County is ranked number 1 in Minnesota corn and hog production, and number 3 in soybean production. Hog production in Martin County is a 50 million dollar a year business, and Mike stays on top of hog news and production. Mike covers state and national pork events, such as the World Pork Expo and Minnesota State Pork Producers Meetings. In addition to pork coverage, Mike covers state and national corn and soybean conventions and meetings.

In addition to Mike's broadcast duties, Mike spends many hours visiting agri-businesses and meeting with farmers from our area. You'll find Mike where ever important farming events are taking place.
