Minnesota State Senator Julie Rosen (R-Fairmont) praised the state omnibus pensions bill , which she chief authored, passing the Minnesota Senate on Monday.
Among other things, the measure will bring the police and fire services of the city of Fairmont into the state pension fund which covers police and fire employees, creating a significant level of savings to the city because of a decreased level of contribution required.
The bill passed with bipartisan support and it is hopeful that the governor will sign the measure once passed in the House.
